Wool socks

Wool socks are a good choice when you want extra softness and warmth on the soles of your feet to block out the cold coming off the ground. The wool socks have a knitted merino wool sole and toe. Thanks to the merino wool, cold from the bottom doesn't bite directly into your toes and soles, keeping your feet warm and comfortable. The wool sole is knitted into a stronger, terry base to give it an airy feel, so the heat stays in the air pocket created. 

However, the main material of wool socks for a full-length sock is not always merino wool. You can find wool socks in cotton and bamboo, among others, as an accompaniment to wool. There are also blends of merino wool and tencel. Which wool socks work for you will depend on the type of footwear you wear and the conditions in which you use them. Cotton and bamboo naturally absorb a lot of moisture, so they're not a good choice for cold conditions, but they're a great choice for warm weather.
