Aapa - untightened socks, organic cotton

The solid-colored, soft Aapa cotton socks are especially suitable for those whose feet need light and as loose-fitting socks as possible.

The non-tightening refers to the roll top of the socks, which does not have the usual ribbed fold at all. The idea of the roll top is to distribute the pressure caused by the sock shaft evenly over the entire ankle and calf area, instead of all the pressure being directed only to the calf area. Despite the roll top, the socks stay well on the feet during everyday activities, but for sports, it is recommended to choose a tighter model. The socks have a standard fit. The socks are entirely made of smooth, thin knit.

The socks are especially suitable for feet suffering from swelling, for whom it is important that the sock does not press tightly against the skin, but feels as light and unnoticeable as possible. Soft cotton socks are also a good option for those whom ordinary wool may itch or cause skin irritation.

Cotton has hardly any warming properties, so in winter, Aapa socks easily leave your feet cold when outdoors. However, in terms of durability, cotton is an excellent material, and in a light sock, the breathability of cotton is at its best.

This product, too, is made at Sukkamestari's own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish work.
