Description

Arctic socks have toe and heel sections in a different color from the base color. The top of the sock features the knitted Uphill Arctic text on the outside of the shaft.

The most notable feature of these socks is their full terry structure made of merino wool and knee-high length. It is often thought that frost chills feet only through the ground, and extra warmth or thickness is added only to the sole of the sock. In reality, cold affects the feet from all directions, and Arctic socks are designed for these freezing cold conditions. The shaped heel improves the fit, and the strong lycra knit throughout the length of the shaft evens out pressure on the foot.

With these socks, you can set out to conquer even the North Pole or go for a midwinter hike in Utsjoki, and your feet will stay warm! However, it is extremely important to pair Arctic socks with proper merino wool liner socks to get the best benefit and warmth from the socks.

Merino wool is a highly breathable material that prevents feet from sweating and helps keep them dry. The antibacterial merino wool also prevents odors from forming if your feet do sweat from time to time during use. Polyamide has been added to the socks for extra durability.

With Arctic socks, you can enjoy the outdoors in biting cold weather, as long as you have proper winter boots or roomy hiking shoes that have enough space for thick socks and still allow air to circulate.

for marine socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep's wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is inherently fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
