Classic Alpaca - ankle socks, alpaca wool
Description
Soft and warm alpaca wool socks are like a hug for your feet. Alpaca wool socks are not only beautifully patterned but also highly breathable, making them an excellent choice as sleep socks for feet that crave warmth. A subtle and beautiful pattern is knitted into the leg section and around the ball of the foot. The ribbed cuff features a neat double stripe matching the tones of the pattern.
Classic Alpaca socks have a shaft that extends well above the ankle and is made entirely of thick terry knit, providing extra protection against the cold. The thick socks cushion your step and feel pleasant on the skin. Alpaca wool, which is up to seven times warmer than regular sheep’s wool, provides effective warmth, and the strong structure supports the socks’ insulating properties. The seamless toe prevents chafing and discomfort.
When considering the ideal use for alpaca wool socks, comfort can be prioritized without worry. All kinds of relaxing, hygge, and lounging are the best things you can do with alpaca wool socks on your feet! Alpaca wool is somewhat less durable against abrasion, so we do not recommend especially active activities with them – the less mechanical friction the socks are exposed to, the longer their lifespan.
Super-warm alpaca wool is also a very breathable material, making it excellent for year-round use. Synthetic fibers add extra durability and elasticity to the socks.
We recommend keeping the combined use of socks and footwear to a minimum, as socks experience considerable abrasion inside shoes. However, for quick trips to fetch the mail or firewood, the socks are great and will keep your feet warm even when winter frost tries to bite.
