Description

Merino wool Pihka socks with a non-tightening ribbed cuff and a slightly wider fit than normal. The word 'Pihka' is knitted on the toe area, on top of the toes.

The Pihka polyamide yarn used in the socks contains 10 percent resin. Pihka socks are not suitable for those allergic to resin. The looser cuff and slightly wider fit help prevent a tight feeling on the foot. Despite their thin structure, Lipo socks are warm and also protect the ankles from the cold.

Pihka socks are especially suitable for those who want nurturing qualities from their socks. Pihka socks care for, for example, dry, cracked soles and are well suited for everyday use at work and during leisure. They also make excellent bed socks. In wash tests, the socks have been shown to withstand at least 15 washes while releasing resin.

The function of the socks is based on the Pihka polyamide yarn used in them, which releases resin in a controlled manner onto the skin during use. The main task of merino wool is to bring breathability to the socks and keep feet dry all day. Merino wool also has antibacterial properties, which help the socks stay odorless for a long time, even if your feet sweat occasionally.

Thin socks are perfectly suitable for almost all types of footwear.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep's wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is inherently fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
