Description

Tactical merino wool socks for demanding and changing conditions. The cuff of the sock has the Uphill OPS text knitted behind the ribbing.

The calf-length OPS merino wool socks have a 4-layer structure, which brings out the best properties of the materials used in the socks. The foot part is entirely merino wool. A shaped heel and light arch compression improve the fit of the socks. The thermal value of the socks is 5, making them some of our warmest socks. There is an inconspicuous toe seam above the toes, which helps prevent chafing.

The socks are at their best for tactical use, but are also well suited for hiking and outdoor activities, such as fishing and hunting.

Merino wool and polypropylene together efficiently wick moisture from the skin, keeping feet dry and comfortable. Merino wool enhances the breathability of the socks and provides warmth. Thanks to the antibacterial properties, merino wool socks do not easily start to smell, even if your feet sweat a bit during use. This effectively extends the washing interval and lifespan of the socks.

OPS is well suited for boots, combat boots, and various types of membrane and safety shoes.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish workmanship.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep's wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is inherently fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
