Description

The merino wool Peko resin socks are knitted with a multi-layer structure. The word Pihka is knitted onto the toe area, on top of the toes.

The Pihka polyamide yarn used in the socks contains 10 percent resin. Pihka-socks are not suitable for those allergic to resin. The 3-layer structure makes the socks durable and breathable. Despite the thin structure, they are warm and the regular-length sports shaft also protects the ankles from the cold. There is a gentle tightening at the arch to improve the fit. There is an inconspicuous toe seam on top of the toes.

Resin socks are especially suitable for those who desire caring properties from their socks. Resin socks nurture, for example, dry, cracked soles and are well suited for everyday use at work and during leisure time. They also make excellent bed socks. Washing tests have shown that the socks withstand at least 15 washes while releasing resin.

The operating principle of the socks is based on the Pihka polyamide yarn used in them, which releases resin in a controlled manner onto the skin during use. The main task of merino wool is to provide breathability to the socks and keep the feet dry all day. Merino wool also has antibacterial properties, which help the socks stay odorless for a long time, even if the feet occasionally sweat a little.

The thin socks are well suited for almost all types of footwear.

This product is also made at Sukkamestarit’s own factory in Ylöjärvi with 100% Finnish labor.

Care instructions:

we recommend pre-washing merino wool socks before use
for marine socks, airing is often sufficient
careful washing at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius
use as light a spin as possible
the use of a wash bag saves wear and tear on the product
do not use detergents containing rinsing agents or bleaching agents
do not use a tumble dryer or drying programmes
please note that merino wool socks will shrink in the wash, please shape/stretch the socks while damp to restore the original size
use a lint remover - merino wool socks are easily linted by rubbing

Merino wool NATIVA™

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep's wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is inherently fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
